Latest on the Spring Break Trip

Are you ready to go?? Here’s some specifics:

1. Saturday, March 15 – Blood n Fire BBQ for the Poor @ The Compassion House, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. I know this is technically before Spring Break, but they need people to help. My four people will be there. Sign up or ask a question.
   
2. Monday – Friday (March 17 – 21): 15 people needed @ Cornerstone for a Spring Break program for kids (10 – 2). Please note that this is for the entire week. Sign up or ask a question.
   
3. Monday – Thursday (March 17 – 20): 5 to 25 people needed to scrape 5 houses (owned by elderly) being prepped for painting, several hours each day (if enough people help, probably would take only three days). Sign up or ask a question.
   
4. Tuesday and Thursday (March 18 & 20): 12 people to help Cornerstone feed lunch (probably 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.). Sign up or ask a question.
   
5. Monday – until we’re done : 10 -12 people to help prepare and place a flagstone patio @ The Father’s House, several hours each day. This will cost about $500 in materials. Click here if you would information on how to donate money for this effort. Sign up or ask a question.
   
6. Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm: several people (could rotate) @ The Compassion House to hand out sandwiches and pray for the homeless. Sign up or ask a question.
   
7. Monday to Thursday – pick up trash in the neighborhood of The Compassion House. OK, not the ENTIRE week, but it needs to be done. Sign up or ask a question.
   
8. Friday, 3/21 – 11:30 to 1:00. BBQ at LABC.
   
9. Possible ministries:
   
   
   
   • Help out with seniors/elderly from LABC and other churches – if you know people who need stuff done, please contact me with specifics.
     
   • Help seniors at a nursing home/rehab center in Arlington – pending.
     
   • We could help out with a Backyard Bible Club at Mission Arlington (8 to 12 people, all week). In order to do this, I need people to commit ASAP. If no one contacts me for this, I will not commit to Mission Arlington.

Notes:

• I know that many people haven’t finalized plans for Spring Break yet, but please contact me with your interest and committment as soon as you can.
  
• It is preferable that you contact me before Spring Break, but if you can’t, just call me on my cell (817.729.5957) and I’ll tell you where we are.
  
• If you can only show up for one or two days, then only show up for one or two days.
  
• Cost is $10 a person per day or $25 for the week. $100 for the week for families of four or more. The money you pay will help go for lunches, the BBQ, and other expenses we may run into.
  
• If you know someone we could help this week, please contact me with specific information.
